We enjoy learning English!
In each class we have
developed several activities associated with the vocabulary and the songs that
we were learning at that moment. As you may know, we base our learning through
flashcards and other interesting resources found in Super Simple Songs’
website. Here you will see the result of our experiences!
In the class of Mice we have worked two soft songs interactively:
In the class of Mice we have worked two soft songs interactively:
1 Twinkle Twinkle Little Star through the
xylophone, because the notes and the rhythm are very easy to play. We encourage
you to try it at home!
Is that for me? |
2. Row Row Row Your Boat through finger puppets. As you know, the lyrics speak figuratively about the different animals that we can find in a stream: a crocodile, a duck, an elephant, a frog and a lion.
In the class of Bunnies we have also sung our two
favourite songs in a different way. First of all, we learnt how to make the
signs of: Five Little Monkeys. Then, we had a wonderful time singing
with our pet Monkey Monkey!
Monkey, Monkey, let's sing!! |
Do you want a kiss?
After that, we played with a special book with two wheels singing: Wheels On The Bus. We still are learning the different actions that the song has got, but we have really enjoyed changing the transport of the book and trying its wheels! As you can see children do love books, so we can create a reader habit easily.
I'll bring it to home!
In the class of Snails we have started learning the face parts playing with objects associated to each part: We wore a hat in our head, we smelled a perfumed flower with our nose, we covered our eyes with a pair of sunglasses and a sleep mask and we make our lips up.

At the end, we
focused in the vocabulary through the tale of Little Red Riding Hood touching
the face part that the wolf was showing and the flashcards. We could feel her
fear!
In the class of Squirrels we have enriched our knowledge
of the face parts from our own conception. That is why we have touched each
part at the time that we were seeing the flashcard related.
Let's hide and seek! Where are your eyes?
And what a better way
to learn the body parts as moving ourselves? We enjoyed dancing Head,
Shoulders, Knees and Toes. And every day we do it better and better!
Head
Shoulders
Knees
And....
Toes!
We hope you like our post! See you soon!
